Catching Dreams

In this unit of our Who Am I? Humanities class, Doubt and Dream, we learned more about the underlying parts of the human consciousness, as described by Freud. For this action project, we were tasked with creating a dreamcatcher, similar to those made by certain Native American tribes. Below is a picture of mine, and a description of what it means to me. The center of my dreamcatcher was initially empty. I think that I was representing how my heart was not fulfilled, like I was missing something. But now, even if it seems more like an afterthought, there is something or someone filling that hole in my heart. Something has...changed, since I started making the dreamcatcher. I feel like something has changed in my life, so I changed the design of my dreamcatcher. Some positive elements that I want to reach me are things such as happiness, and love. I symbolized those positive elements through the color green. Green is usually seen as a positive color, a color of life and nature.

We're All Part of the Cycle

In the third and final unit of our Fuel STEAM class, we learned more about renewable resources and fossil fuels, and how they're used for generating electricity.  We focused on the causes and effects that pollution has on our environment. We also learned more about graphing equations. This action project asked us to make a paper about CO2 emissions, and how we can reduce them, hopefully bringing down the CO2 ppm (parts per million) from 408 to 350. In conclusion, I think that this was not an easy project. Finding the correct information was challenging, but I eventually found sites with the data that I needed. This was a difficult, but fun project to work on. The carbon cycle is something that we need to protect, as we're all just part of the cycle.

The Edge of Sunshine

In my Fuel STEAM class, we learned about renewable energy sources. For this action project, we were tasked to try and sell a renewable resource, in video form. Below is my video, trying to sell solar energy. In conclusion, this AP was decently fun to make. I enjoyed recording the voiceover for the slideshow, even though recording my voice isn't exactly my strong suit.
